Training At The Altitude

How To

Altitude training is a training that is done by athletes who train themselves for several weeks to increase their endurance. Almost at an altitude of 8000 feet from the sea level. The altitude training is done here because of fewer oxygen levels at this altitude. It increases the endurance capacity of an athlete who plays sports related to endurance. So follow the steps to train at altitude.

Prepare yourself

You have to make sure you are in the right condition to prepare at the altitude, be well hydrated and prepare yourself for the changes on the altitude. Do the training which helps in increasing cardiovascular capacity, as the hill and interval training, they can help limit the effect of the hight.

Be Mentally Prepared By Anticipating The Suffering

You need to be sure about how much you can suffer, anticipate the suffering, and prepare yourself for the suffering. You can make yourself prepared for the suffering if you are a sea-level athlete by practicing in hot conditions, because of hot and humid condition you will get a sense of increased perception of the acts at the same time.

Slow Down And Adjust The Expectations

You should be expecting to run slow at altitude than on the sea level if you are going to train at the altitude for a while. Don’t train yourself too hard for this. You don’t need to push very hard at the start. Ease yourself while running and stay normal, it takes 5 to 7 days for your body to act normal at the altitude. Do gentle training in the first week before driving yourself in the tough hard work.

Altitude training is a good option for increasing endurance but before that make sure all of these things as they are very important factors.
